When Heather from Clotheshorse Magazine first contacted me about photographing for her on a rooftop in NYC I was immediately excited about the shoot. There were many more technical and logistical problems to solve for this shoot than a typical studio one but I was most certainly up for the challenge! Although I had seen a couple of snapshots from the roof where we would be shooting I was still pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the location was! There were gorgeous views in all directions! The location worked out perfectly for Clotheshorse’s Architecture Collection. It was a little windy up there (as you can tell from Lillian’s hair) but I think even that worked out in many of the pictures. Hooray for a super awesome shoot!
Here is how Clotheshorse describes this collection:
“With New york City’s stunning skyline as a backdrop and taking an inspiration from architecture, and technical influences, our designers looked into new ways to construct garments and accessories. We played with asymmetry, aver-sized lace, folds, pleats, and woven looks. Mixing matte with shine, smooth and textured yarns, cables, pattering and unexpected details. This is an experimental story of interestingly eye-catching and wearably attractive clothing.”
